Welcome to Julia Viggh Yoga

Reduce stress while building strength, flexibility, balance, and equanimity in our yoga classes.

Immerse yourself in the tranquil beauty of a yoga studio nestled in the woods next to a picturesque pond.  Enjoy the practice of yoga in an easy-going atmosphere with a supportive community feel.

Located in the center of Boxborough MA, our yoga studio is convenient to Acton, Harvard, Concord, Stow, and Littleton.

All yoga classes are designed to be appropriate for all levels of experience.  Beginners are welcome to any class.  Modifications to the poses will be offered to accommodate any limitations you may have.

More experienced yoga students will be offered options in poses to provide greater levels of challenge and learning.

Julia’s friendly, serene personality and love of variety make each yoga class unique and fun.  She has studied many styles with a variety of teachers, and brings the best of each into her classes.

The yoga classes are a lovely mixture of the many styles of yoga, movement and meditation that Julia has studied, including Iyengar yoga, Kripalu yoga, and the teachings of Arthur Kilmurray, Doug Keller, Eric Franklin, Karin Stephan, Aaron Cantor, Josh Summers, Jennifer Reis, and many others.

Iyengar yoga uses props such as blocks, bolsters and straps to help each student find alignment in every pose, no matter the experience or flexibility.  So, even if you have never been to a yoga class, you will be able to join in through the whole class.

Kripalu yoga encourages “meditation in motion”.  It has a compassionate approach and an emphasis on meditation, physical healing, and transformation that overflows into daily life.  Each student learns to find their own level of practice on a given day by looking inward.

The somatic teachings of Arthur Kilmurray, Eric Franklin, and Aaron Cantor also inform Julia’s yoga classes.  Every person experiences each yoga pose differently, so students are asked to explore the poses in their bodies.  In this way you will learn about your body and your particular patterns.

All yoga classes are open to all levels, men and women, teens and adults.

(In case you are wondering, men do attend yoga classes!  There are several men coming to the Sunday and Wednesday evening classes, and also the Monday night class in Littleton.)

See you there!!!
